Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The Lord has said to me, ‘You are my son; today I have begotten you.’

Lord, how many are my foes! Yet you, Lord, are a shield about me; you are my glory, the one who lifts up my head.

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my groaning. Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies.

O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing.

O Lord my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me.

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.

Why, O Lord, do you stand far away? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain’?

Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone; the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.

How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt; there is none who does good.

O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right.

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry! Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit!

I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!

O Lord, in your strength the king rejoices, and in your salvation how greatly he exults!

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. Lift up your heads, O gates! That the King of glory may come in.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame.

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

To you, O Lord, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped.

Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. The voice of the Lord is over the waters.

I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. I acknowledged my sin to you, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!

Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. With you is the fountain of life.

Fret not yourself because of evildoers. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath! For your arrows have sunk into me.

I said, ‘I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue.’ O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days.

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.

Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him.

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people. Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me.

O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days.

My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Be still, and know that I am God.

Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth.

Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world! Why should I fear in times of trouble?

The Mighty One, God the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Create in me a clean heart, O God.

Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day.

The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ God looks down from heaven on the children of man.

O God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might. Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.

Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy! Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.

Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me. In God I trust; I shall not be afraid.

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge.

Do you indeed decree what is right, you gods? Do you judge the children of man uprightly?

Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise up against me.

O God, you have rejected us, broken our defenses; you have been angry; oh, restore us.

Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint.

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation.

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land.

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy.

Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion. You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth.

God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him.

Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. Zeal for your house has consumed me.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me!

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! O God, from my youth you have taught me.

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son! May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.

Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.

O God, why do you cast us off forever? Why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?

We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.

In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel. His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.

I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.

Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth!

O God, the nations have come into your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock! Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob! Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment.

O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God!

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord.

Lord, you were favorable to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob. Revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you.

Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving.

On the holy mount stands the city he founded; the Lord loves the gates of Zion.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out day and night before you. Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry!

I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning.

The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt.

O Lord, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth! When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.

The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around him.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music. I will ponder the way that is blameless.

Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to you! Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love.

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty.

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Remember the wondrous works that he has done.

Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!

My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn!

Be not silent, O God of my praise! For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me.

The Lord says to my Lord: ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.’ You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!

Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord! From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!

When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became his sanctuary.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. What shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits to me?

Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. Too long have I had my dwelling among those who hate peace.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands.

‘Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth’—let Israel now say—‘greatly have they afflicted me from my youth.’

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! With the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high. I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother.

Remember, O Lord, in David's favor, all the hardships he endured. I will not enter my house or get into my bed.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like precious oil on the head.

Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!

Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; give praise, O servants of the Lord! For I know that the Lord is great.

By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion.

Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
